Kishore Pratim Biswas
Kishore Pratim Biswas, born in Kolkata, India, developed an early passion for art that led him to pursue formal training in fine arts. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata. Beginning his practice with watercolours, he later transitioned to acrylics on canvas, evolving a distinctive style where colour takes precedence over form. His works are marked by rich textures, experimental techniques, and intellectual depth, and span acrylic, oil, watercolour, mixed media, charcoal, and soft pastels. Kishore has presented multiple solo exhibitions and participated extensively in national and international group shows, earning accolades including the Sunil Das Award.
The artist lives and works in Mumbai, India.
