Partho’s style is very graphic with a touch of earthy hues,he believes in being bold in the use colour contrasts. lot of his work also sports the contrast of Black, and other monochromatic treatment. His figurative work exudes the feeling of human relations and interactions. The traditional approach is sometimes feltbut not seen, this is very exclusive of Partho’s style. His experiment with objects, form and subject can be seen in nearly all hiswork, often glorifying his potential to its maximum. Partho’s work predominantly portrays the reflection of human feelings, biological needs and the basic metaphors of life. The latest series that he is working on depicts the influence of modern day life and its implication on our subconscious done in a very contemporary treatment. Partho has worked extensively on films, and that gives his work the 5th dimension. He has done animation films wherethe camera was not used and drawings were directly made on 35mm film negative to suggest movement. This experimentwas rewarded by a screening at the Bombay International Film Festival 1993 in the special section.
