Ramu Das
Ramu Das is an accomplished artist based in Santiniketan, where he pursues his creative endeavors from his studio. He earned his BFA and MFA from Visva-Bharati, Kala Bhavana, and has a special certification in textile design. Ramu’s work explores a wide range of themes, including political scenarios, social issues, gender bias, spirituality, and symbolism. His artistic expression spans various mediums such as acrylic and oil on canvas, sculpture, and mural art.
Ramu is passionate about fostering connections between rural and contemporary artists, promoting collaboration and cultural exchanges. His goal is to blend traditional materials with modern techniques, creating a bridge to the global art scene. A dedicated art enthusiast and activist, Ramu has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as various workshops.
The artist currently lives and works in West Bengal, India.
