Vera Schumacher
Vera Schumacher is an art photographer born in Russia, she studied journalism at Voronezh State University and lived in South Africa for 12 years before moving to Germany in 2016. The COVID-19 pandemic gifted her with the time to pursue her passion for photography, leading her to study at the Moscow School of Photoart and take master classes with Magnum Photos in Paris. Vera combines photography and painting, printing photos on canvas and enhancing them with acrylic paint and varnish. Inspired by her travels, she infuses her work with vivid emotions. Her exhibitions include World Art Dubai (2022), Venice International Art Fair “Visions” (2023), “London Contemporary” (2023), and “Mixing Identities, Senses” in Rome (2023).
The artist lives and works in Hannover, Germany.
