Wencyl Mallari is a Tarlac-based contemporary figurative artist whose work blends realism, surrealism, and symbolism. Raised in a family of artists, she began drawing at nine under the guidance of her father, Ambrocio Mallari, shaping her early mastery of charcoal, still life, and portraiture. Over the years, her practice evolved into dreamlike imagery that explores femininity, nature, and the unconscious mind. Her richly detailed figures—often intertwined with flowers, corals, and organic forms—reflect inner strength, elegance, and emotional depth. Highly awarded in national competitions, Wencyl continues to refine her distinct visual language rooted in both classical influence and modern exploration.
The artist currently lives and works in Tarlac, Philippines.
