Danny is known as the lone ostrich egg sculptor in the Philippines. His artistic journey began during midlife, leading him from a corporate career into a world of intricate craftsmanship. Through experimentation, he discovered the expressive potential of carving on ostrich eggshells, layering delicate cuts, flowing lines, and geometric patterns that reveal emotive faces and forms. His works—often combining egg, metal, and wood—reflect his advocacy for peace, freedom, and spirituality, rooted in his activist past.
Danny has since expanded his practice to sculpting on carabao and cow skulls and recently unveiled his long-hidden paintings. He is also the curator of ManilART and heads the National Committee on Art Galleries under the NCCA. The artist lives and works in Manila, Philippines.
